| Don & Gail Nicholson WE began developing Lakeside RV Park over ten years ago, unfortunately Don was in a bad accident in 2003 and we had to put our plans on hold for several years, then in 2008 we were able to complete the North phase of the park. We have over 20 acres altogether under development, this includes a 7 acre lake which we heavily stocked with Channel Catfish and Crappie thirteen years ago. There is also nice bass in the lake. We encourage our RV'ers to fish, you can keep all you catch, and believe me there are some big fish in this lake. We have planted hundreds of Pine Trees in the park many are now over 30 ft tall. Not all we have planted survived though, many have been accidentally mowed down, others the deer have killed using them as a rub. Then the biggest loss of maturing trees have been from the beavers. They can cut trees down faster than you can plant them. We enjoy watching the Beavers swim around the lake, but they can be very destructive. We currently have 16 tree lined spaces ,with 20 more under development. We welcome your pets, we have an 12' x 38' dog run, enabling them to run and play. We have a rifle and pistol range. The pistol range is 25 yds. with four targets. The rifle range is 250 yards with target frames at 50, 100, 150, 200 and 250 yards, with more features such as archery to be added. We have always enjoyed traveling, and staying at different RV Parks along the way, so it was just natural that when we slowed down, we would want to have you come and see us, so that is how the park began, and I can truly say it has been a labor of love. Our desire is to have a place where family and friends can come together for fun and relaxation. |
